‘Am I the Drama’: Cardi B Breaks Nicki Minaj’s Record for Most Simultaneous Hot 100 Entries Among Female Rappers

Naysayers who doubted if Cardi B‘s serially delayed sophomore album, the September 19-released ‘Am I the Drama,’ could live up to the height of its blockbuster predecessor (2018’s ‘Invasion of Privacy‘) were served a rude awakening this week.

Beyond making history at the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) as the fastest album to be certified Platinum, the project entered the Billboard 200 at #1 with the biggest sales for any woman of color this year.

The domination didn’t stop on the album side of the chart, however.

Hop inside to see how songs from the LP’s 23-tracklist were scattered all over the Hot 100 to historic measure.

As if it wasn’t enough helping Pop Queen Janet Jackson make Hot 100 history with their duet ‘Principal,’ Cardi saw her name penciled in the all-genre chart’s record books as well this week.

Of the 23 tracks that line the ‘Drama’ tracklist, 16 of them landed on the updated version of the tally – a feat that makes her the first female rapper to claim as many concurrent spots.

Look below to see which song landed where.

Uniquely before ‘Drama,’ ‘Privacy’ was the first album by a female artist of any genre to place at least 13 of its tracks on the Hot 100 concurrently.

Among female rappers, Nicki Minaj broke the record when cuts from her chart-topping 2023 ‘Pink Friday 2‘ landed 14 simultaneous placements on the all-genre tally.

This week, the record returned to Cardi but could be challenged once Minaj drops her highly anticipated sixth studio album in March 2026.
