Per The Sun, Peacock and Netflix are each developing films on the former daytime host’s life and career.

It’s believed the projects will explore aspects of her diagnosis with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia.

Neither platform has confirmed its project publicly. Even so, reports suggest both are moving at pace.

A Familiar Face Behind The Camera

Peacock’s version is rumored to involve Suzanne Bass. The producer spent years working alongside the broadcaster on ‘The Wendy Williams Show.’

She would oft appear on-camera to banter with the media maven across the daytime talker’s run.

Sources cited in the report claim Bass pursued the project hoping its subject might take part in some form. Since then, however, communication between the pair has reportedly stalled.

Word is that her current health status may rule out new interviews altogether. As a result, either film could lean heavily on archival footage, former colleagues, and family perspectives.

A Delicate Task

The renewed interest follows a Lifetime documentary released in 2024. That film pulled strong viewership, yet drew criticism over its depiction of her cognitive decline.

It also ignited a legal battle between Williams’ legal guardian and the network.

With the guardianship still limiting her public appearances, both platforms face a sensitive road ahead. Representatives for Netflix and Peacock have not commented.
