The hit political drama ‘The Diplomat’ is officially back, and Netflix has just dropped the first teaser along with the release date.

Season 3 will return with eight episodes and promises even higher stakes.

The cast includes David Gyasi, Nana Mensah, Celia Imrie, Nana Mensah, and Miguel Sandoval.

Netflix teases:

“Ambassador Kate Wyler lives the particular nightmare that is getting what you want. She just accused Vice President Grace Penn of hatching a terrorist plot and admitted she’s after the VP’s job. But now the president is dead, Kate’s husband Hal may have inadvertently killed him, and Grace Penn is leader of the free world.”

‘The Diplomat’ returns October 16 after last season’s shortened run. And fans won’t have to worry about the future; the series has already been renewed for a fourth season at Netflix.
