Kelela has officially ushered in a new musical era.

The genre-defying singer has released her long-awaited third studio album, ‘New Avatar,’ a 12-track offering that further cements her reputation as one of the most innovative music voices of her generation.

Released via Warp Records, the album fuses alternative R&B with electronic textures, guitar-driven soundscapes, and introspective storytelling.

Ahead of the LP’s arrival, Kelela teamed up once again with PinkPantheress for the dreamy single ‘The Bridge,’ accompanied by a visually striking music video directed by Yasser Abubeker.

Speaking on the project, Kelela emphasized:

“When it comes to genre, so much of what we compartmentalize isn’t natural; it’s something institutions and structures impose on us. My goal as an artist is to express what feels true to me regardless of whether or not it fits into those boundaries,”

Kelela will also embark on her ‘New Avatar Live‘ world tour across North America from September 8 to October 16-17 before heading to Europe and the UK on October 12 to November 8.
