The new exhibit celebrates Stephen Curry’s journey from overlooked prospect to NBA icon while he continues his playing career.

Stephen Curry has made Basketball Hall of Fame history before retirement. The Golden State Warriors star is the first active NBA player to receive a dedicated exhibit at the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.

The exhibit, titled “Stephen Curry: Beyond the Arc,” opens Friday in Springfield, Massachusetts. It highlights Curry’s rise from an overlooked college prospect to one of the NBA’s most influential players. Visitors will see championship and Olympic memorabilia, game-worn gear, and archival footage documenting his career.

“Being part of the Basketball Hall of Fame in this way is hard to put into words,” Curry said in a statement. “When I think about my journey, I think about the people who believed in me, the work that happened when nobody was watching and the moments that shaped me on and off the court. To have that story told while I’m still playing is something I don’t take lightly.”

As reported by ESPN, Hall of Fame President and CEO John Doleva called the exhibit a historic milestone. “Stephen Curry has not only redefined how the game of basketball is played, but he has also set a blueprint for what it means to be an exemplary role model,” Doleva said. “This is truly a historic moment for us and for basketball fans worldwide.”

Curry enters his 18th NBA season as a four-time champion, two-time MVP and the league’s all-time leader in three-point field goals. His long-range shooting transformed modern basketball and inspired a generation of players to expand their offensive range. The 38-year-old has previously said he hopes to play at least two more seasons. He is also expected to begin contract extension discussions with the Warriors when he becomes eligible later this summer.

The exhibit offers fans a chance to celebrate Curry’s legacy while his playing career is still unfolding, making it a first for both the Hall of Fame and the NBA.
