Zara Larsson may already be cooking up the follow-up to her breakthrough ‘Midnight Sun‘ album thanks to a newly inked deal at RCA Records, but dedicated fans don’t appear ready to see the sun set on the Swedish sensation’s current era.

As evidenced by a peek at the updated Hot 100, the project’s title track – which recently peaked at #16 and marked the highest rung she’s reached on the tally by her lonesome to date – recaptured the position this week.

And if that’s not enough to prove the ongoing popularity of the 2025-released cut, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has announced it’s been elevated to its highest certification yet.

Taking to press on Monday (July 13), the RIAA revealed ‘Sun’ had become the owner of a shiny new Platinum plaque – a measure that represents sales equivalence of 1 million units sold in the United States.

Although it comes as the first award of this height she’s received this year, ‘Sun’ joins previously certified Larsson singles ‘Lush Life’ (3x Platinum), ‘Never Forget You’ (5x Platinum), ‘Ruin My Life’ (1x Platinum), and ‘Ain’t My Fault‘ (1x Platinum).

The news arrives the 25th week of the tune’s charting on the Hot 100.
