Kanye West isn’t the only artist celebrating a jaw-dropping number of plaque upgrades at the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

As previously reported, the controversial rapper saw the certification status of 69 titles from his discography updated – a refreshment that led to him being crowned the highest-certified American artist in the organization’s history (blasting past big acts like Taylor Swift, Drake, Michael Jackson, Madonna, and Elvis Presley in the process).

And though his overall sum towers above all of his American-born contemporaries, he met his categorical equal in fellow rapper Future thanks to the Atlanta rapper’s own slew of recent updates.

Over Wednesday (July 15) and Thursday (July 16), the RIAA took to press to announce a whopping 51 updates to prized titles to Future’s discography including ‘Life Is Good’ (now 15x Platinum), ‘Mask Off‘ (now 14x Platinum), ‘Low Life‘ (now 13x Platinum), ‘Wait for U’ (now 11x Platinum), and more.

Cumulatively, the upgrades push his single sales to 161.5 million units in the United States – the fourth-highest ranking of any rappers ever following Drake (277.5 million), Kanye West (234 million), and Eminem (167 million).

That sum is now comprised of 4 Diamond-certified hits – ‘Life,’ ‘Mask,’ Low,’ and ‘Wait.’  The only other African American to boast as high a count of tunes certified as high is West (who also has 4).

Among all acts, however, Drake (10), Post Malone (8), and Rihanna (7) maintain the lead for most Diamond-certified singles.

The RIAA news came just days before Future learned his July 10-released album ‘The Real Me‘ became his history-making 12th chart-topper on the Billboard 200.
