Kenya Moore has revealed that she will not be appearing in season 17 of the ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta.’

The fan-favorite was sensationally benched from the filming of season 16 of the hit Bravo show after a colossal clash with newcomer Brit Eady. A clash that saw the former Miss USA show explicit images.

It was an ill-conceived move Moore said she made after first feeling threatened by the polarizing insurance “specialist” declaring that she had a “gun” during a preceding showdown.

For many, the hope was that the star would simply sit out the remainder of season 16 before returning down the line.

And it’s a sentiment Moore alluded to herself upon missing the season 16 reunion. Indeed, she signed off by intimating that the fans would see her back on Bravo soon.

As it turns out, that won’t be RHOA season 17, which reportedly begins taping in a matter of weeks.

During a live chat with fans, Moore kept it candid when asked if she would be returning.

She told viewers:

“Will I be part of the cast? As of now, no. That could change, I keep hearing a lot of different things. We have been in talks. But, as of this moment, it’s a no.”

Our friends at TV Deets report that the reason centers on the fallout from Eady’s exit. Specifically, the $20 million lawsuit she filed against Bravo regarding the incident and more.

A source close to the situation is quoted as saying:

“A lot of people [here at Bravo] really like Kenya but the lawsuit is a complete mess. She won’t be on Season 17 but I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s back once all of this is done.”

And while Moore may not be in the mix for season 17, it’s expected that the cast of season 16 will be featured – though their exact capacities have yet to be revealed.

Ever one for a spot tea, the captain of Team Twirl shared casting details, revealing that TWO new Housewives are being lined up. Presumably to fill her slot and that of Eady.
