Perez Hilton‘s mother is seeking temporary custody of his three children.

Teresita Lavandeira filed the petition following the celebrity blogger’s recent hospitalization.

Lavandeira submitted the petition in a Miami family court on August 7 and is also asking for the records to be sealed in an effort to protect the children from further trauma.

“The children in this case should not be subjected to any further trauma related to the incidents that are the basis of the petition.”

According to TMZ, Hilton signed a consent form granting his mother temporary custodial rights. These include the ability to make medical and dental decisions, obtain records, and enroll the children in school.

The filing comes one week after the 48-year-old was hospitalized following a troubling TikTok livestream. Family members were reportedly present when he began showing signs of a mental health crisis and quickly removed the children from the home.

Hilton remains hospitalized under Florida’s Baker Act. He also sustained significant blood loss and is expected to require surgery. His condition has been described as “serious but stable.”

Sources say the focus is now on providing stability for his three children, Mario, 13, Mia, 11, and Mayte, 8.
