Nicki Minaj may have dominated headlines over the last few years for her polarizing political views more than popping out bops, but – if a recent interview is anything to go by – new music isn’t completely off her radar.

Hot on the promo trail in support of her role as celebrity judge in the Trump Administration’s small-business Million Dollar Pitch Competition, Minaj – alongside the US Small Business Administratoin (SBA) administrator Kelly Loeffler – took to Fox News’ nightly talk show ‘The Ingraham Angle’ to discuss the series and so much more on Friday (September 18).

While there, host Laura Ingraham quizzed the Rap diva about her response to critics who have slammed her allegiance to the Commander-in-Chief.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to work with this administration and to work with President Trump. He has inspired many people, not just me, and he’s fun. He’s not just smart, he’s not just the President, but he’s also someone that I can relate to,” she relayed before saying, “I just love him. And, I’m not ever going to make excuses for that.. I don’t know why I should.”

Elsewhere in the chat, Ingraham asked about Minaj’s next musical chapter – namely if or when she will be hitting the road again.

“Who set you up to ask this question? Is one of the Barbz back there?” Minaj quipped. “I’m going to go out as soon as I present the Barbz with this next body of work, whenever that will be.”

Albeit ambiguous, the response was enough to excite some diehard members of her fanbase (affectionately called #Barbz) who have been calling for official news on new music since she canceled plans to drop an album in March.

As for the live circuit, Minaj hasn’t been on the road since shattering box office records with her critically acclaimed global ‘Pink Friday 2 Tour‘ run in 2024.
