Katy Perry is officially kicking off her new era and she’s bringing the drama with her.

Just days after sending her beloved fan base (affectionately called #KatyCats) into a frenzy with news of a new single ‘Watch It Burn,’ the Pop superstar sent that excitement into over drive with the first teaser for its accompanying music video.

On Thursday night (June 25), music lovers finally got the see the clip in full and it’s safe to say it was well worth the wait.

From its fiery imagery to its accompanying song’s emotionally charged theme, ‘Burn’ marks her first major release since 2025’s ‘Bandaids‘ and appears to continue that visual’s subliminal concept of rebirth.

“Tonight’s the night I light a match / Throw it hard behind my back / Gonna try to forgive and forget / Light a cigarette /  And watch it burn,” sings Perry.

‘Bandaids’ and ‘Watch It Burn’ are expected to be on Katy’s yet-titled new album due later this year.
