Over a year after Chappell Roan first gave fans a taste of ‘The Subway,’ the GRAMMY-winning songstress is finally lifting the lid on the tune in full.

Arrived to streaming services on Thursday (July 31), the heart-aching ballad sees its performer pray for the moment she finally gets over her ex.

“‘Til I don’t look for you on the staircase / Or wish you thought that we were still soulmates / But I’m still counting down all of the days / ‘Til you’re just another girl on the subway,” she sings over a Dan Nigro-produced chorus.

Only building anticipation for her long-awaited sophomore album, the follow-up to 2023’s critically acclaimed ‘Rise & Fall of a Midwest Princess,’ hop inside to hear the official recorded version of ‘Subway’ ahead of the premiere of its official music video on Friday morning (August 1).
