The 46-year-old singer recently opened up on the Sorry We’re Cyrus podcast. His confession? Being polyamorous is costing him money.

“The world is mad at the fact that I’m in a polyamorous relationship,” Ne-Yo said. “There’s deals that I missed out on because they’re like, ‘I don’t know if we can get behind the whole polyamorous thing.'”

He seems genuinely confused. “It’s almost like you can be a great person,” he continued, “but the second you do something that they don’t agree with, cancel. That just doesn’t make any sense to me.”

Ne-Yo shares his life with Cristina, Arielle Hill, and Moneii. He calls them “Pretty Baby,” “Twin Flame,” and “Phoenix Feather.” The group recently celebrated three years together.

He wishes critics would just watch how it works. “People say the dumbest stuff like, ‘It’s degrading,'” he said. “Degrading to who? I’m not lying to nobody. Everybody is here by choice.”

The former Voice coach was previously married to Crystal Renay until 2023. Now he’s fully committed to his trio.

“The good has absolutely outweighed the bad,” he wrote on Instagram. “Let ’em say what they want to. We happy over here.”

Deals lost? Maybe. Happiness lost? Doesn’t sound like it.
