Universal Pictures has unwrapped the trailer for the upcoming animated adventure ‘Forgotten Island,’  which stars none other than H.E.R.

The flick centers on lifelong besties Jo and Raissa, who find themselves stuck on a magical and forgotten island called Nakali. The only way for them to get back home is to lose their most cherished memories together.

The film is centered on Philippine roots and mythology.

Speaking on the flick, the ‘Damage’ singer expresses how much this has meant to her since she is Filipino herself. She shared:

“I was excited. I get to share a piece of my childhood in this work and with the world. That’s super rewarding to me.”

The broader cast includes Liza Soberano, Dave Franco, Jenny Slate, Manny Jacinto, and Lea Salonga.

This follows the GRAMMY award-winning songstress’s film debut as Squeak in ‘The Color Purple’.

‘Forgotten Island’ premieres in theaters September 26.
