Miley Cyrus has long made clear that a traditional tour is not in her plans. However, the superstar may have found a way to return to the stage without surrendering the life she has built away from it: make the audience come to her.
Speaking on Apple Music’s ‘The Zane Lowe Show’ in support of her newly released album ‘Bass Persuades,’ Cyrus revealed that her forthcoming Hollywood Bowl concerts are effectively a trial run for a possible residency.

As reported, the 33-year-old will take over the famed Los Angeles venue on October 16 and October 18.
Nearly 1.5 million people reportedly joined the presale queue for the two shows, despite only approximately 35,000 seats being available across both nights. For Cyrus, the colossal demand confirmed that a stationary live spectacle could be the answer to her touring conundrum.
“Doing a residency was my idea. Now I know, through this ticket demand at the Hollywood Bowl, that my calculations are correct and people will come to me. I don’t need to go to them.
Those shows were just a test. It’s perfect because people want to see me perform, and I want to sleep in my own bed, so everyone’s happy.”

The candid declaration adds a compelling new chapter to the discussion surrounding Cyrus’ reluctance to tour. Her last traditional headlining trek was 2014’s ‘Bangerz Tour,’ and she has since spoken openly about the isolation, upheaval, and intense demands that accompany life on the road.
A residency, it seems, may finally deliver the best of both worlds.
