Contrary to the belief of some, R&B-Pop diva Lizzo has a lot to celebrate these days – a truth she rings loudly inside the pages of the latest ‘Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’ edition.

While reflecting on her ever-expanding empire, the ‘B*tch‘ singer revealed that one of her biggest missions is inspiring the next generation to embrace music by learning instruments again.

Liz (born Melissa Jefferson) took to ‘Sports Illustrated’ to double down on news she is preparing to release her first children’s book ‘Lil Lizzo Meets Sasha B. Flootin.’

“I simultaneously hope to inspire young people to fall in love with music and pick up an instrument. I’m super adamant about young people playing instruments again. It used to be mandatory, and I don’t know if it’s mandatory anymore and it scares me. I feel like one of the best things a child can do is have their imagination cultivated. I feel like there was nothing better for my imagination than reading and playing an instrument. So why not bring those two things together?,” she told the mag.

The comments arrive as Lizzo continues to juggle a packed schedule.

Alongside promoting her latest album, ‘B*tch,’ she’s developing her long-awaited Sister Rosetta Tharpe biopic, where she’ll star as the legendary Rock pioneer.

Speaking on the biopic, she shared:

“There’s a lot of research that has gone into the biopic and I want to be really careful and precious with the script because I think it’s really important to show a Black woman at that time in a different light. She was a lot larger than life. She was almost mythological, and I want her biopic to represent her as the superstar that she was.”

With new music, new ventures, and renewed focus on nurturing future artists, Lizzo is proving her impact stretched far beyond the charts.
