Lizzo, already an EMMY and GRAMMY winner, has officially added “author” to her growing list of creative credits thanks to the release of her debut Children’s book, ‘Lil Lizzo Meets Sasha B. Flootin.’

Illustrated by Mark Pett, the story follows a young girl who meets a smart and sassy flute, taking readers on a magical adventure as she learns to find her voice.

Sharing the news on social media, Lizzo wrote:

“Our thrilling adventure begins now! I can’t wait for you to meet them!”

The book is also available in audiobook format with the singer serving as narrator.

Lizzo hopes young readers take away the importance of friendship and discovering their own voice. Reflecting on her personal connecting to instrument, she told her followers:

“Falling in love with the flute was life-changing for me, and it was a wild, magical adventure and I hope that you can have your own adventures as well. Enjoy!”

The book’s September 8 arrival to bookshelves comes on the heels of her fifth studio album ‘B*tch‘ released in June, showing she firmly has her fingers in many pies.
