Lionel Richie is letting fans know he is on the mend after a frightening moment on stage sparked concern.

The music legend has spoken out following the health scare that saw him hospitalized after falling ill during the opening night of his latest tour.

Taking to Instagram, the 77-year-old shared performance snaps from his recent Pittsburgh and Detroit shows and assured supporters that he is “doing well.”

His full address, shared via Instagram,  read:

“Thank you for every message, every kind word, and for all your love. I’m doing well, and I’m grateful for all of you.

Pittsburgh and Detroit were an absolute joy. The energy, the dancing, the faces in the crowd… we made real memories together.

See you in Toronto… let’s party all night long!”

The update comes after Richie cut short his June 24 concert at the Grand Casino Arena in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he told the audience he felt “dizzy” and “strange.” He was later taken to hospital and treated for his symptoms.

As reported, doctors advised the ‘All Night Long’ hitmaker to rest, prompting the postponement of his Chicago and Columbus, Ohio tour dates.

Now, according to TMZ, Richie appears to be back in his groove. He returned to the stage in Pittsburgh earlier this week and confirmed that Toronto is next on the itinerary.

Suffice it to say, the update will no doubt function as a relief to fans, many of whom had been sending well-wishes after the unexpected onstage incident.
