The East London R&B singer-songwriter released her sophomore project, ‘And All Pride Aside.’

The EP serves as a companion piece to her 2025 breakthrough, With All Due Respect. It features collaborations with Destin Conrad and Ty Dolla $ign.

The project balances sensuality with vulnerability. Songs like ‘Til the Room Stinks‘ showcase playful sex talk, while ‘Heaven’s in Your Hands’ addresses the grief of her grandfather’s passing.

kwn spoke with Billboard about her creative process. She explained:

“I used to shy away from writing anything too emotional for me. But obviously I’m growing day by day, which, in turn, is allowing me to open up with the world as well.”

The singer also discussed the difficulty of writing personal lyrics as her fame grows. She added:

“Anytime I’m writing, I’ll go over each line a good few times and make sure that it don’t sound cringy to me. I’m not just saying something to say it; I want every line to be intentional.”

The EP was crafted with longtime co-producer Joel Compass and Malik Ninety Five. It deepens her signature brooding, ’90s-informed R&B with hip-hop, rock, and bossa nova influences.

kwn burst onto the scene in 2025 with her Kehlani-assisted ‘Worst Behaviour.’ She earned a BRIT Award nomination and a BET Award nod at this year’s ceremony.
