Hollywood Boulevard is about to get considerably more crowded, and lots of names you know are in the number.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce revealed its Class of 2027 on Thursday, naming 32 honorees across film, television, radio, recording, live performance and sports entertainment. LAMag reported that Lil Wayne, Charlamagne tha God, Grandmaster Flash, Raven-Symoné, Delory Lindo, Keke Palmer, and more made the cut, alongside a slate of names spanning several corners of the industry.
Lil Wayne earned his placement in the Recording category, capping a career that has stretched more than two decades and reshaped rap along the way. The New Orleans native built an outsized catalog anchored by the “Tha Carter “series and a collaborative footprint that touched multiple generations of the genre, adding this honor to a résumé already stacked with Grammy wins.
Grandmaster Flash joins him in the same category, recognized for his foundational role in DJ culture. His work behind the turntables helped establish the technical vocabulary that carried hip hop from a localized movement to a global force.
Charlamagne tha God was selected in the Radio category, an acknowledgment of a career that began with “The Breakfast Club” and has since expanded into podcasting, television, publishing and mental health advocacy.
Additional inductees include Idris Elba, Keke Palmer, Pedro Pascal, David Alan Grier, Jo Koy and Nicole Scherzinger, among many others, are all set to receive stars.
Selection committee chairman Peter Roth framed the group as a reflection of lasting cultural impact, saying the 32 honorees have each shaped audiences worldwide through their talent and dedication to their craft.
One caveat for anyone already planning to attend a ceremony: recipients have up to two years from selection to schedule their inductions, meaning unveiling dates for Lil Wayne, Charlamagne and the rest of the class will be announced down the line.
