Months after announcing their separation, Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker announced they reached a divorce settlement, after 11 years of marriage.

During their decade-plus-long marriage, Burruss and Tucker entered some joint business ventures together, especially in the restaurant space. In the past, they opened Blaze Steak and Seafood and Old Lady Gang in Atlanta. But behind the scenes, it’s been challenging, the “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum revealed.

“Having all those different businesses has been a stressful situation. Now, I’m getting divorced, and it’s kind of like, doing things together… we’re not on the same page… I just want to go back to my creative space,” Burruss said on Danielle Robay’s “Question Everything” podcast. “I want to be creative. I want to stay a part of my creative projects. I’m coming up on my big birthday. I’m going to be 25 again, for the second time,” she joked.

A divorce may have been brewing for some time, but a “specific situation,” as Burruss put it, was the straw that broke the camel’s back. The Atlanta-born RHOA alum has not, however, shared specific details about what happened.

Burruss, ever the entrepreneur and multi-hypenate, has never been one to put herself in a box. Her career started in music, as a member of Xscape and then a songwriter with credits to hits like TLC’s “No Scrubs.” Her 14-season long run on RHOA made her a reality TV star. Since, she’s made her mark on Broadway, launched a makeup brand, debuted a sex toy line, and more.

“I don’t want to be stressed. I want to enjoy life to the fullest. I want to enjoy the perks and the money that I’ve made, and I want to create more things that bring me joy,” she continued on the podcast.

Ahead, the court has ordered Burruss and Tucker to submit divorce settlement paperwork on child support and a parenting plan for their children by March 20. “For the most part, even if we argue, we still try to be nice to each other,” she told Andy Cohen. At the end of the day, “we’re co-parenting.”For now, Burruss is focusing on her own ventures and starring in “& Juliet” on Broadway. It has been more than an artistic outlet for her right now, but also, “the best therapy” for her.
