Two years after putting a period on the R&B chapter of her storied career, K. Michelle is saddling up to take a ride over to Country charts with new music from her highly anticipated next album.

Tapping into her alter ego ‘Puddin,’ the Southern belle – who has made headlines for her jaw-dropping performances at Country Music Awards in 2024 and 2025 – has used much of the last two years to tease her foray into the genre.

And though she has openly documented the challenges she’s faced with everything from breaking color barriers in Nashville to securing endorsement deals, transitioning out of R&B, and more, the award-winning songstress was careful never to announce an official date of the product of all that hard work.

That is, until this week.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday (August 26), Michelle uploaded a video confirming the delivery of her first official Country single ‘Jack Daniel’s.’

“In order to understand the ending at first you gotta start from the very beginning of my story,” she shared with her 8.3 million followers on the platform.

A fitting intro given that she’s served as a longtime brand ambassador for the whiskey brand, the song previously made its way to the net via a leak but its official mastered version will be available for download and streaming on August 29.

At writing, however, Michelle has yet to confirm the arrival date of the tune’s parent album.
