From controversy to ridicule, it’s pretty safe to say Jack Harlow‘s latest album rollout is far from his best.
Beyond the minimal buzz that preceded the effort titled ‘Monica,’ fans were stunned to hear the project would see Harlow stray from his previous Hip-Hop offerings into more R&B/Soul territory – a transition he controversially said was the result of him getting “Blacker.”
The unceremonious slamming that followed was only outpaced by the seeming lack of interest in the era overall, leading the LP to become Jack’s first studio album to miss the top 10 on the Billboard 200.

Jack Harlow’s ‘Monica’
First-Week Sales (SPS): 19,000 units
Billboard 200 Debut: #40
With total first-week sales slightly north of 19,000, ‘Monica’ moseyed onto this week’s Billboard 200 at #40 – making it the first album of Harlow’s career to debut outside of the top 10 and his first to open to sales of less than 20,000 units.
The set’s predecessors – 2023’s ‘Jackman‘ (#8 peak), 2022’s ‘Come Home the Kids Miss You‘ (#3 peak), and 2020’s ‘That’s What They Sall Say‘ (#5 peak) premiered to inaugural sales of 33,500, 113,000, and 51,000 units respectively.
Undeterred by the lukewarm opening, Harlow is pressing forward with promotion of the LP by unveiling the official dates of its supportive jaunt – the aptly titled ‘Monica Tour.’
Promoted by Live Nation, the North American trek will kick off in Brooklyn on August 4 before seeing Jack jump to major markets like Toronto, Boston, Los Angeles, Denver, Houston, and more ahead of wrapping up in Oakland on September 21.
Ticket presales launch Thursday (March 26) with the general sale to follow on Friday (March 27) at 10am local time.
