Police bodycam footage has emerged showing Sha’Carri Richardson getting arrested following the moment she reportedly shoved her boyfriend, Christian Coleman.

During the video, Richardson is seen pleading with Coleman, saying:

“Christian I’m about to go to jail because of you right now.”

The Olympic track star is then escorted out of the airport and was read her rights and told police officers that:

“I’m in a domestic violence relationship, and y’all capture me. I can show you proof of me being in a domestic violence relationship.”

The arrest stemmed from Richardson reportedly shoving Coleman at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport on July 27. In the video, Richardson describes the altercation as “an argument” before being put into the police car to be sent to jail.

She has since offered a public apology on Instagram to her partner and to fans, taking accountability for her actions. She said:

“For certain, [there has been] a lot of self-reflection, a lot of consciousness of not only putting myself in a vulnerable situation with somebody who I care about and have a lot of respect for, is something that [is] holding me accountable.”
