Netflix has released the trailer for the upcoming installment in the ‘Why Did I Get Married?’ franchise: ‘Why Did I Get Married Again?’. The original group is back for more shenanigans, with some new faces also in the mix.

The film follows Mike, Sheila, Troy, Terry, Diane, Marcus, and Angela as they reunite in Lake Como, Italy, for the destination wedding of Marcus and Angela’s daughter.

During the reunion, the group realizes that while some things change, others stay the same. As their children begin to mirror them in unexpected ways, they are forced to reflect on the examples they have set and ultimately ask themselves the age-old question: why did they get married again?

The franchise’s ensemble cast returns with Jill Scott, Richard T. Jones, Tasha Smith, Michael Jai White, Lamman Rucker, and Sharon Leal. Taraji P. Henson joins the ensemble as Roselyn, the mother of the groom.

The fresh faces joining them include Armani Greer, Everett Osborne, Da’Vinchi, Laya Deleon Hayes, Jaden Michael, Charles L. Smith II, Derrick A. King, and Sydney Winbush.

The flick continues Perry’s partnership with Netflix, which has already produced global hits such as ‘Straw’ and ‘Madea’s Destination Wedding’.

‘Why Did I Get Married Again?’ premieres September 9 on Netflix.
