Paramount+ has finally unleashed the first look at the long-awaited ‘The Varnell Hill Show,’ which sees Tommy Davidson reprise his role as Varnell Hill.

The ‘Martin’ spinoff takes place 30 years after audiences were first introduced to Varnell Hill in an episode of the hit sitcom. The series ventures behind the scenes of a long-running late-night talk show, where Varnell is fighting to stay relevant in a rapidly changing entertainment industry.

Between network executives pushing to modernize the show, chaos in the writers’ room, celebrity guests, and his ever-expanding ego, Hill realizes that keeping his TV empire together is much harder than building it.

Joining Davidson in the ensemble cast are Kym Whitley, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Nick Cafero, Emmanuel Hudson, and Chris Williams.

Guest stars include Ms. Pat, Deon Cole, Damon Wayans, Mike Epps, and Omarion. Plus, the man himself, Martin Lawrence, will make a special appearance.

‘The Varnell Hill Show’ premieres on September 1 on Paramount+. The eight-episode first season will launch with two episodes, followed by a new installment each week through October 13.
