Award-winning DJ Dahi may have spent most of his career crafting hits for the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Big Sean, and others, but now he’s looking to step into the spotlight himself with his debut album ‘Black Boy (Alternative).’

Ahead of its late August arrival, the producer-rapper is giving music lovers a taste of the project’s offerings in the form of the Childish Gambino-assisted new song ‘Running.’

The song arrived on Friday (July 10) with a visualizer directed by Marissa Blair. Coming as the latest single from Dahi’s August 28-due project, ‘Black Boy (Alternative),’ the DJ explained the new track in a statement. 

“Black is beautiful. I’m bringing all I love into one space.”

The 11-track album will also feature big names like Kendrick Lamar and Vince Staples among others. Earlier this year, Dahi shared the singles ‘Rest Of Your Life’ and ‘Find Me,’ which featured Moses Sumney and Mez.

He previously announced the project on Instagram, writing:

“It’s been years in the making. Really excited for you to hear what we’ve been cooking up.”
