Sean “Diddy” Combs is back in the general prison population.

The mogul has returned to the general population at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey after being placed in the Special Housing Unit following an alleged altercation with another inmate.

According to TMZ, sources with direct knowledge confirmed that Diddy has been released from the Special Housing Unit.

The July altercation reportedly began after another inmate insulted him. The pair are said to have exchanged pushes and punches before prison staff intervened and separated them.

A prison spokesperson declined to comment on the incident, citing privacy and safety concerns.

It remains unclear whether Diddy will face any additional disciplinary action over the fight.

His projected release date has shifted several times during his sentence. The Federal Bureau of Prisons currently lists his release as February 20, 2028, after it had previously moved forward to January 2028.

Diddy is serving a 50-month sentence after a jury convicted him on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was acquitted of the more serious racketeering and sex trafficking charges.
