A prominent figure in Rap, known for his rapid flow, Busta received a star in the Recording category, a well-deserved recognition of his contributions to the music industry.

With a career that spans decades, the MC has sold over 20 million albums worldwide, cementing his status as one of hip-hop’s most enduring and innovative artists.

The presentation ceremony was packed with admiration. Hip-hop heavyweights took the podium to honor Busta’s influence and legacy. LL Cool J, whose flow Busta once mimicked while crafting his earliest rhymes, delivered heartfelt words alongside Big Daddy Kane and Public Enemy’s Chuck D, both pioneers in their own right.

Busta shared his excitement for the recognition:

“I feel complete today. As we completed this chapter and started giving birth to a new one. I’m no longer Daniel-San in this s—t, I’m Mr. Miyagi now,”
