Diddy has scored a significant legal victory after a federal judge dismissed the civil lawsuit filed against him by former collaborator Dawn Richard.

The singer, who rose to fame as a member of Danity Kane and later joined Diddy-Dirty Money, filed suit in September 2024. In her complaint, Richard alleged that she witnessed abuse involving Cassie and claimed she faced mistreatment herself while working with the music mogul.

According to TMZ, the court dismissed all of Richard’s claims. The judge determined that the overwhelming majority were filed outside the applicable statute of limitations, effectively bringing those allegations to a close in federal court.

One claim tied to copyright issues was dismissed without prejudice, meaning it may still be refiled in New York state court.

Richard’s lawsuit alleged that she endured harsh working conditions and accused Diddy of inappropriate conduct during their professional relationship. The Bad Boy founder has consistently denied the allegations.

Diddy’s attorney Erica Wolff previously said:

“In an attempt to rewrite history, Dawn Richard has now manufactured a series of false claims all in the hopes of trying to get a payday.”

The ruling marks the latest development in the ongoing legal battles surrounding the embattled music mogul, who is behind bars for transportation to engage in prostitution.

It also comes after Richard appeared as a witness during Diddy’s high-profile criminal trial.
