Music mogul Clive Davis has been hospitalized.

News of the 94-year-old’s admission to a New York City hospital emerged moments ago, sparking concern among fans and industry insiders alike.

According to TMZ, Davis was admitted after suffering an upper respiratory infection.

Representatives say the move was made out of an abundance of caution.

The industry titan has faced health challenges before. In 2021, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy.

Easily one of music’s most prolific executives, Davis famously played a pivotal role in shaping and shepherding the careers of Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, and Kelly Clarkson, while also helping launch Bad Boy Records alongside Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Beyond his artist roster, Davis remains a towering presence in entertainment. He was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2000 and the GRAMMY Museum’s 200-seat theater bears his name.

Word is that Davis is expected to be released from the hospital within 24 hours.
