Chris Brown has pleaded guilty in the long-running criminal case stemming from a violent altercation at a London nightclub.
The dramatic development came as the superstar appeared alongside co-defendant Omololu Akinlolu at Southwark Crown Court today (July 24).

Brown and Akinlolu, also known as HoodyBaby, each admitted one count of affray in connection with the February 2023 incident at Tape London.
According to the Crown Prosecution Service, Brown struck music producer Abraham Diaw twice over the head with a glass bottle before Akinlolu joined the altercation.
Prosecutors said Diaw was pursued through the crowded venue and kicked while seated defenseless on the floor. He later attended hospital with injuries to his head and knees.
They argued:
“This was a vicious and unprovoked attack by Brown and Akinlolu in a crowded nightclub where Brown used a glass bottle as a weapon to strike the victim’s head twice.”
The plea marks a striking reversal after Brown previously denied the allegations and was preparing to stand trial in October.
Charges of assault, attempting to cause grievous bodily harm, and possession of an offensive weapon will no longer be pursued by prosecutors.
As reported, the 37-year-old was arrested in Manchester in May 2025 after returning to the UK for his world tour. He was subsequently released after lodging £5 million with the court as security.
Brown and Akinlolu remain on bail and will be sentenced on October 26. Affray carries a maximum prison sentence of three years.
For now, the singer continues his stadium trek with Usher (‘The R&B Tour’), across North America.
