‘Real Housewives of Potomac’ royal and ‘Traitors’ star Candiace Dillard Bassett isn’t holding back.

The reality star clapped back at the suggestion that Housewives should be banned from the hit reality competition show.

Speaking on ‘The Sherri Shepherd Show,’ Bassett hit back at the notion head-on, saying:

“What do you mean? The Real Housewives, we are icons. We are part of the zeitgeist of pop culture. And pop culture without the Real Housewives…Yes! And the season would not have been, you know, in the stratosphere and viewership without our foolishness, you know? You needed that. And we do a job, okay? We come in, we do what we’re supposed to do, we know what we’re doing, and we go home.”

She also criticized the commentary that sparked the debate, suggesting that the ‘Vulture’ writer used Housewives for attention. She expressed:

“I actually thought it was rich that the author, who shall remain nameless, he used us to sort of clickbait the article. But at the same time, you’re talking about we need to be banned.”

In true Housewife fashion, Bassett delivered a final jab, joking perhaps the critic should be banned “from journalism” instead.

She also addressed Wendy Osefo’s arrest for fraud and more.
