Kanye West is once again at the center of controversy, and this time it is hitting major corporate ties.

The Hip-Hop heavyweight, who is slated to headline all three nights of London’s Wireless Festival this summer, has sparked mounting backlash across the UK. Now, longtime sponsor Pepsi has made a decisive move that is only intensifying the spotlight.

Pepsi confirmed it has withdrawn its sponsorship of the festival after more than a decade of partnership, though the company stopped short of naming the rapper directly in its statement.

Short and direct, it read:

“Pepsi has decided to withdraw its sponsorship of Wireless Festival.” 

The timing speaks volumes.

The decision came just hours after UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer publicly condemned the booking, citing the performer’s past antisemitic remarks and controversial behavior.

Starmer said in a statement:

“It is deeply concerning Kanye West has been booked… Antisemitism in any form is abhorrent and must be confronted firmly.”

Political figures across the country have echoed similar sentiments, with calls ranging from criticism to suggestions the artist should be barred from entering the UK altogether.

Despite the uproar, Wireless Festival organizers have yet to pull the plug on the headline slot, continuing to promote the Chi-Town native’s three-night return to London.

The news comes as promotion continues for Ye’s newest album, ‘Bully.’
