BigXthaPlug tried to hold back tears while discussing his son’s autistic journey and being away from him following his diagnosis.

While on ‘Popcast’, the ‘The Largest’ rapper opened up about his family life, and in particular, his autistic son. He explained how, during his biggest year in music, his son was diagnosed with autism.

Speaking candidly, he shared:

‘He went from being very verbal to just started deteriorating like he stopped talking’.

The Dallas MC expressed that it hurts him to not be there for his son after he told him that he’d never not see him. He stated:

‘Me not being there especially when I told my son you’ll never not see me a day in your life…But that take a lot out of me but it’s like I’m doing it for him. So, I can’t really stop doing cause then how he going to eat? Everything that he could ever want he got. It takes a toll on me though because I’m not there. I feel like for me to be such a great dad, I should be there. I would hate for me one day for me to supposed to be there and I can’t be there’.

Continuing, the MC added:

“Y’all got to think, he’s autistic. So, it’s always going to be harder for him. So, I did everything that I’m doing to make life easier for him, and it’s still gonna be harder for him. So, that rubbed me wrong to.”

BigX’s son was diagnosed with autism back in 2023. This April, the rapper made a PSA for Autism Acceptance Month, talking about his son:
