Beyoncé’s BeyGOOD pledges $200K to Indiana flood relief after deadly storms

The foundation is directing the money to two organizations helping families recover from widespread flooding and severe weather.

Beyoncé’s BeyGOOD Foundation is committing $200,000 to help communities in Indiana recover from severe storms and flooding that began earlier this month. The relief effort follows the singer’s recent decision to donate $1 million to Colombia earthquake recovery and adds to the foundation’s long-running disaster response work, including its LA Fire Relief Fund for families affected by the 2025 Eaton Fire.

According to the foundation’s website, the $200,000 will go to City Life Center and Angel by Nature, two organizations providing assistance in Indiana. The money is intended to support food, household supplies and other essentials for people affected by the flooding, including residents in Gary. Several other notable figures have stepped in with assistance and awareness include Houston rapper Trae the Truth and food critic and influencer, Keith Lee.

“The fund will immediately support critical relief and recovery efforts in the neediest areas, including the city of Gary, providing food, household supplies, and other essential resources to individuals and families impacted by the flooding.”

Indiana was hit by a powerful storm system beginning Aug. 11, bringing extreme winds, tornadoes, hail and flash flooding. The Indiana Department of Homeland Security said some areas received 6 to 9 inches of rain, while the National Weather Service reported that parts of central Indiana received more than a foot over several days.

The storms and flooding caused widespread damage across the state. State officials confirmed seven storm-related deaths as of Aug. 28. Thousands of residents also lost power during the disaster, while officials documented downed trees, road closures and localized evacuations in affected communities across several counties throughout the state.

The BeyGOOD Indiana relief donation will support local groups working directly with affected residents as recovery continues.

BeyGOOD, founded by Beyoncé, lists community response as one of its core areas of work. The foundation says it supports communities during crises or disasters by backing grassroots organizations and investing in long-term resilience.

The Indiana contribution is the latest in a series of major disaster-relief efforts tied to Beyoncé. In January 2025, BeyGOOD launched a $2.5 million fund for families and community organizations affected by the Los Angeles wildfires. Earlier this month, Beyoncé also announced a separate $1 million personal donation for earthquake relief in Colombia.

Relief efforts in Indiana are ongoing as state and local agencies continue assessing damage, restoring services and helping residents recover.
