Andrew Gillum is back behind bars, just weeks after his latest arrest placed him firmly back in the legal headlines.
This time, prosecutors allege the former Florida gubernatorial candidate missed a required drug test and later tested positive for methamphetamine.

According to TMZ, Baldwin County Assistant District Attorney John Oxford says Gillum has been subject to random “color code” drug testing while his case moves forward.
Under the system, participants are assigned a color and must call a hotline daily. If their designated color is announced, they are required to report for testing that day.
Prosecutors claim Gillum failed to appear when his color was called.
When the embattled 47-year-old appeared in court on Thursday (August 6), he was subsequently tested and allegedly returned a positive result for meth.
Suffice it to say, he was then taken back into custody.
The dramatic development comes just a month after Gillum was arrested in Alabama on drug-related charges. Police alleged that a vehicle search uncovered approximately three grams of meth, marijuana, pipes, cut straws, and a bong.
Gillum later passed a drug test following that arrest, and there had reportedly been discussion about his possible participation in a pre-trial drug intervention program.
It is presently unclear how the latest alleged result could impact that prospect.
The former Tallahassee mayor has previously spoken publicly about personal struggles. In 2020, he announced he was entering rehab following a highly publicized Miami hotel incident.
As of writing, Gillum has yet to publicly address the latest development.
